AONB Awareness days


A big thanks to everyone for helping remove the Himalayan Balsam from Shugborough on Wednesday, your help is always appreciated. The next awareness days and volunteering days are as follow. Everyone is welcome, the more the merrier. Please let me know if you would like to attend on emma.beaman-green@staffordshire.gov.uk.

27th June 10am – 12 Walk around Brocton, meet at Chase Vista carpark (3- 3.5 miles). Led by Glynis Ward MBE

29th June 10am – 2pm. Grassland management at Gentleshaw Common please meet at Ye Olde Windmill pub car park at 10am, Chris Walsh will meet you there

2nd July 10am. Walk along the Heart of England Way from Katyn Memorial. Meet at Katyn carpark (Camp road) at 10am (4 miles approx)

4th July 1pm. Meeting for those who wish to get involved with the Mustelid project. Meet at the Park Gate pub, Cannock Wood.

10th July 10am – 4pm at Shugborough Hall. Veteran tree training, please bring a packed lunch.

13th July 10am. Walk along Staffordshire Way, Devils Drumble. Meet at Coppice Hill car park (Chase Road). (4 miles approx).

19th July 10am – 12 .Walk around Devilles Farm

20th July 10am – 12. Ragwort Pull, Bednall Belt car park (Camp Road)

26th July 10am – 2pm. Heathland management on Hednesford Hills. Meet at the Museum of Cannock Chase.
