Wednesday 25th September 4pm – 7pm -free event for horse owners featuring British Eventing star
Olympic medallist, Jeanette Brakewell (booking essential).The event is taking place at the Hay Rack Café at the Equestrian Centre in Rodbaston College, from 4pm to 7pm on Wednesday 25 September, the event will promote best practice horse pasture management.
he free event will be introduced by British eventing star, Jeanette Brakewell, who has won two Olympic team silver medals. This will lead on to a talk about healthy pasture and horses by Chloe Palmer, then Clive Keble will discuss planning matters, including protecting and enhancing the landscape of the AONB.
Tuesday October 8th 10am-2pm (or anytime you can give) – Scrub control work. Please meet at the Whitehouse car park.
Thursday October 17th 10am-2pm – Scrub and woodland clearance followed by a controlled bonfire at Gentleshaw Common.
Thursday 7th November 10am – 2pm- Spreading heather seeds on Hednesford Hills. Meet at the Museum of Cannock Chase.
Friday 8th November 1pm – Armistice Service at Freda’s Grave to commemorate the lives of working animals, all adults and pets welcome.
Wednesday 20th November 10am-2pm – Heather spreading on the Connecting Cannock Chase project. Meet at the Whitehouse carpark.
Thursday November 21st 10am- 1pm (MEMBERS ONLY – call Emma 01785 619186 for membership information) – monuments walk around Shugborough Hall followed by lunch at Olive Tearooms. Booking is essential.
