Cannock Chase Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) is inviting businesses to help support the local protected area in two sponsorship opportunities.
There are many ways to get involved with Cannock Chase AONB, from volunteering through to becoming a member. Sponsoring projects is another great way for businesses to support the precious AONB landscape.
Two new sponsorship opportunities have come up. The first is to sponsor the ‘Good Dog Scheme’, which offers dog training sessions to encourage good behaviour by dogs being walked within Cannock Chase.
The AONB partnership is keen to offer more sessions, and is seeking sponsors to help pay for the dog trainer, certificates and possible trophies.
Emma Beaman, Assistant AONB Officer, comments “Cannock Chase is the ideal place to walk a dog, but it’s important that their owners know how to keep them under control so they don’t worry other visitors, dogs or the landscape. This is why we’re keen to offer more training sessions for free, but we do need help to fund these important sessions.”
In the second sponsorship opportunity, Cannock Chase AONB is aiming to conduct a Peace and Tranquillity survey to find out if visitors’ perception of the chase has changed since the first time the survey was carried out in 2010.
“Volunteers helped us to survey visitors to Cannock Chase, asking them to identify areas of the chase that are quiet and peaceful. For this research to be meaningful, we need to know if people’s perceptions have changed in the intervening years. We are hoping a sponsor will help us to fund the analysis of the data,” explains Emma.
Sponsoring Cannock Chase AONB projects is a good way to give something back to the landscape and sponsors will also be added to any promotional activities.
