Spring events at Cannock Chase AONB

From a walk to see bluebells and conservation days, to a guided walk around Shugborough, there are plenty of outdoor activities running at Cannock Chase AONB this spring.

The programme includes:

• A free Bluebell Walk on Friday 15 May at 10am. Meet at Beaudesert Scout Camp.
• A free Bird Walk led by Roger Broadbent from West Midlands Bird Club on Monday 18 May at 8am. Meet at Seven Springs car park.
• Two free Woodland Management days on Thursday 21 May and Monday 5 June from 10am to 2pm at Shoal Hill common.
• An Arboretum Walk around Shugborough on Friday 19 June at 10am. The walk will be led by Corinne Caddy and the event includes a small lunch. Free for Cannock Chase AONB members, £3 for non-members.

Emma Beaman, Assistant AONB Officer, said: “We’ve got some lovely events coming up, which offer a great way to find out more about Cannock Chase’s wildlife and landscape. These events are offered on a first come first served basis, so do book as soon as you can.”
